This page is the Official Museum of Royal Monkey Art (MRMA).
I, like every mommy out there, am constantly inundated by paintings, drawings, and Play-Doh sculptures done by The Royal Monkeys, all for me. As I already have Rubbermaid boxes galore of their fine work, it’s time to go digital. Here, I share their budding artistic genius with you.
I, as a patron of the fine arts, am happy to sponsor the artwork of visiting Royal Monkeys. Please contact me with your attatched .jpg file of priceless art by your little monkey. It will find an appreciative audience here.
Exhibit 1: Fall, by Princess Pinky. Media: Play Doh. 11/10/07.
She actually did the entire picture herself; the only things I helped with were the two ducks and the dog (a fine rendition of our very own Brownie).
Exhibit 2: Ghostie, by Prince Tatertot. Media: Crayola Markers. 11/10/07.
This would be that scary Ghostie that nearly ended Prince Tatertot’s artistic career. Thank goodness for big smiles. His head is taped together because little Tater had decided to teach him how to fly.
Exhibit #3: Sprout Train, by Princess Pinky. Media: Crayola Markers/Collage. 11/29/07.
It’s a love/hate thing with PBS Sprout for me: love that they have soothing, routine programming in that dwindling hour before bedtime; hate that they always have to do some craft they tout as “easy” and give our budding artists a reason to whine and wheedle to stay up later to finish said craft.
Here’s one from Sprout:
Exhibit #4: Poor Tom Turkey, Princess Pinky. Media: Crayola Crayons. 11/21/07.
He didn’t even see it coming, poor dumb bird. We sure enjoyed having you for Thanksgiving Dinner!
